What is Cub Scouting?
Our Cub Pack is for boys and girls aged from 8 to 10 and a half. There are loads of fun things that you can do as a Cub Scout. Each week you will get a chance to try lots of different activities like swimming, music, exploring, computing and collecting along with traditional scouting skills. All of these activites form part of a well balanced programme and can earn you badges to wear on your cub sweater.
Each summer we hold our Cub Pack Camp where you will be able to camp under canvas for a week –end. This is where you will get chance to join in loads of fun activities like raft building, campfire, canoeing and rock climbing to name a few. In addition we join in with District events and these can be day trips or camp outs, look out for details of the next one!
Our Cub Pack have camped in places like Abingdon and Henlow and some of our Cubs were lucky enough to go to Delft in the Netherlands with Needingworth Pack for a week.
We currently have 24 Cubs, 3 adults and one young leader who help each week. Please contact Akela (Cub Leader) for more details of where and when we meet.
